Two oils in one fill: Origanum vulgare oil and cold-pressed Nigella sativa oil. Both markers are declared in the specification and on the COA, so the buyer can see the carvacrol and thymoquinone contribution of each component rather than a single 'herbal blend' figure.
The ratio is fixed before the softgel tooling and the label claim are approved. The fill is commonly 500 mg at 1:1, diluted with a carrier oil; other ratios are possible. The shell is gelatin-glycerin and the fill is opaque to protect both oils from light.
| Format | Size | Shell / coating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Softgel | 500 mg (1:1) | Gelatin-glycerin; carrier oil to your specification | Dual-oil retail bottle |
| Softgel | Custom ratio | Carrier oil and shell to your specification | Formulas with a different marker balance |
| Bulk blend | 25 kg | Opaque, nitrogen-flushed | Contract filling and further processing |
A two-oil fill is a compatibility exercise as much as a marker exercise. Oregano oil is volatile and pungent; black seed oil is a cold-pressed seed oil with its own fatty-acid profile. The carrier oil has to hold both, and the ratio has to be fixed by weight because the two oils have different densities.
The analytical side is two methods, not one: carvacrol and thymol by GC for the oregano component, thymoquinone by HPLC for the black seed component. If the label declares both markers, both results belong on the COA, and the ratio has to be stated on the specification so the batch can be reproduced.
Carvacrol and thymol are assayed by GC; thymoquinone by HPLC. Peroxide value, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbiology are tested to the destination market's limits. The blend is checked for homogeneity before filling.
Send the ratio, the fill weight, the carrier oil, the two marker figures and the market. The most common mistake is to specify a 'dual oil' softgel without a ratio; the second is to declare only one of the two markers on the label and then have no COA result for the other.
The two oils are sold here as food ingredients. No disease or therapeutic claims are made or implied. Essential oils are concentrated; the brand owner is responsible for label warnings and permitted claims in the destination market.
